About (Hey) Brandi

As a marketer.

After a brief stint in the collections department of BMW Financial Services (yeesh), I joined an up-and-coming company that none of my friends or family had heard of called Uber. My unconventional background in marketing, namely as a tour guide and telecounselor for Ohio State, helped me land the role of Cleveland Marketing Manager where I led all marketing efforts for the city and eventually supported all of Ohio and Kentucky. Then I moved to Chicago to join the brand new Regional organization leading content and campaigns for the central region. From there I helped create the company’s first content marketing team, then moved over to the HQ web and blog team. I was there for 5+ years, witnessing a scrappy startup turn into a huge, complex, global company, offering invaluable experience and informing my approach of building for the long term while taking short-term constraints and considerations into account.

In 2019, I joined another company without name recognition—Sustainable Bioproducts. I was part of the team that built the brand from scratch into Nature’s Fynd and launched fungi-based, vegan foods nationwide. There, I focused on bringing the brand we built to life through digital marketing channels across a custom-built website, email, social media, and paid campaigns.

And now I’m here, taking everything I’ve learned to help businesses of all sizes take control of their branding and marketing.

As a person.

I’m based in Chicago where I live with my husband and our brood of two tabby cats and a dog. I love theater and musicals, cooking, podcasts, all kinds of TV, strength training, nurturing my deck garden, and learning new things (the latest? knife skills). I also love to travel, but everyone says that.

My go-to fun facts:
I have a twin sister, I’m left-handed (thrilling!), I have a motorcycle license, and I love making fun videos like this and this.
